This pint-sized travel acoustic from Epiphone is pretty sweet and has caught my eye and inspired an afternoon music shop jam on more than one occasion since its arrival.
It’s so nice to see another offering in the world of “portable inspiration” that can hold its own on the beach, the mountain top or the road trip. It sports a solid spruce top with sapele back & sides.
It’s a ¾ travel version of the Epiphone Texan, originally made famous by Paul McCartney on “Yesterday” and comes with a handy gigbag for transport. I’ve really enjoyed playing it. It has good projection and a nice balanced tone and the Epiphone mini Die-cast tuners ensure a nice accurate tune every time. The “C” neck shape and shorter scale length make it comfortable for any player at any level.
Its attractively priced at R 5,375 and considering everything you get out of it for that price, it’s a tough act to beat on value for money. This brave little acoustic gets my vote and is my pick of the week!
