Because TOMS can't be everywhere the music is, we have partnered with those that can! We are proud to be partnered up with Texx and the City to bring you the latest on all things music.
Texx and the City
Texx and the City is run by journalist and editor Tecla Ciolfi. Tecla has been apart of the music industry in South Africa for the last 10 years in various capacities, namely journalism, radio presenting, event curation and artist management.
After building a portfolio writing for various SA publications, Tecla spent two years editing local music magazine Your LMG and hosting two successful events over the course of three years (Tuesdays On Fire in Cape Town and Jozi On Fire in Johannesburg), before taking up the position of editor and marketing manager at Deezer in South Africa which she held for four years.
The latest venture of SA entertainment website Texx and the City is Texx Talks – a weekly interview-style music podcast set to drop bright and early on the 9th of April.
Hosted by Tecla Ciolfi (TATC’s curator & editor), Texx Talks is a look behind the curtain at what fuels your favourite musicians - from Mzansi to the world.
A joint venture between Tecla, producers Jonathan Inggs and Matthew Loots (Unicorn Media) and research assistant Al Clapper, as the popularity of podcasting continues to grow steadily in SA there’s no better time to capitalise on the need for a solid music podcast. Texx Talks does exactly this.
